3D printing one part vs production quantities

For a single part, a few copies, a prototype or a spare, order it directly with an instant quote — there's no minimum and you pay per part. Once you need larger or repeat quantities with consistent output, a planned production run is the better fit.

When an instant one-off order makes sense

• You need one part, a handful of copies, or a prototype to test a design.
• You want a price and turnaround immediately, with no back-and-forth.
• Single-colour PLA+ suits the job (or a custom material via the custom form).
• You're happy to reorder ad hoc when you need more.

You can still order multiple identical copies from the quote card — each additional copy shares the setup and costs less than the first, so small quantities are already efficient.

When production makes more sense

• You need larger quantities, or the same part again and again.
• Consistency matters — every unit should match an agreed specification.
• You want a planned lead time and batch pricing rather than per-part checkout.
• You need sample approval before committing to the full run.
